UNIT 2 - VOCABULARY

DISAPPOINTING: Making you feel unhappy because someone or something was not as good as you hoped or expected, or because something did not happen.
DRAMATIC: Very sudden or noticeable, or full of action and excitement.
DULL: Not interesting or exciting in any way.
HILARIOUS: Very funny.
PREDICTABLE: Happening or behaving in a way that you expect and not unusual or interesting.
REALISTIC: Seeming to exist or be happening in fact.
NOVELIST: A person who writes novels.
BOX OFFICE: The place where you can buy tickets.
INCOME: Money that is earned.
TALENTED: With talent.
TALE: A story, especially one that might be invented or difficult to believe.
STORYTELLING: The art of telling stories.
A BIT: A small piece or amount of something.
FAIRLY: More than average, but less than very.
PROFITABLE: The story of a book, film, play...
PLOT: The story of a book, film, play...
SETTING: The time and the place in which the action of a book, film, play, etc. happens.
BESTSELLER: A book that is extremely piopular and has sold in very large numbers.
BLOCKBUSTER: A film that is very successful.
GIFT OF SPEECH: The ability of speak in public.
PERFOMER: The ability of speak in public. A person who entertains people by acting, singing, dancing or playing music.
FISHERMAN/FISHMONGER: Someone who sells fish as a job.
PEOPLE'S EVERYDAY LIVES: Normal days.
